The company expanded its fleet in October '98 to include the ideal city car - the Smart - a 2-seater car, small enough to fit two into one parking space, thus easing city centre congestion. Manufactured by MCC (Micro Compact Car), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz, the smart is available to rent in 9 countries across continental Europe and is due to be launched in the UK in 2000.
