Meliá Bali's mission statement is 'Our Earth, Our Worlds, for the Future'. This statement was conceived by trying to incorporate Bali, the surrounding lands, and the spiritual culture to be preserved now for the future generations.

During 2000 Meliá Bali's efforts will be focussed on several projects towards the future. The most important capital project will be a sewerage treatment plant within the property to improve waste management and provide valuable water during Bali's dry season. They will also introduce their first 'Meliá Bali Environmental Week' which will involve local communities, government, guests and staff, and will educate them on the concept of sustainable tourism with an emphasis on environmental issues.
