Wanderlust Camps & Resorts offer eco-tours in India. The Ganga Banks luxury riverside resort is built from local material to blend in with the natural surroundings and no trees were felled during construction work - even if they now grow through the bedroom or balcony of the cottages! The resort has 28 cottages, a swimming pool, conference centre, restaurant and health spa. It offers many activities such as white water rafting, floating, fun treks and wildlife watching.

Wanderlust have taken a number of measures to ensure the gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas remains unspoilt, including:
  • Plastic and polythene are banned from the resort - food and drinks are served in reusable containers
  • Hand-made recycled paper is used for stationery
  • Waste water is used for irrigating the grounds
  • All biodegradeable food waste is buried
  • Guests are requested to plant a sapling as part of the check-in formalities
  • Solar heaters and cookers are used within the resort
  • 75% of the staff are trained local people
