Iter Laponicum

Back to list

Iter Laponicum, a nature travel enterprise in the wilderness of Swedish Lapland, recognises that a clean and healthy environment is essential to the future of the tourism industry. As we are living outside in the forest our whole life it is important to us that nature is left undisturbed. We are committed to protecting our environment by conserving resources and developing sustainable tours.

In our 'wilderness village' of Solberget we try to achieve this in the following way:
  1. Preserve the traditional culture of the local people through, for example, reindeer treks and courses on traditional building techniques
  2. Encourage our guests to respect the environment
  3. Help to protect the ancient forests in Lapland
  4. Developing a new form of sustainable tourism - using tourism to protect the forests
